The late Mr. Abraham (Mannie) Gien started drilling on his farm Groot Marico area in the 1940's. The Giens then imported their first Compressed air drilling rig from America in 1964 and 1966 respectively.

Experience

Peter Gien saw an opportunity to adapt and market a €œDown the hole€ hammer for the South African Market and modified the first hammer in his workshop on their farm, thus P.G Drilling was born. You can only benefit from this family'€™s 44 years of drilling experience

Our products are patented worldwide and we have clients from South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, America and as far north as Ethiopia and Sweden to name but a few.

Our offices and factories are based in Germiton, Johannesburg and our hammers and spares are manufactured on site. We also have a dedicated workshop for the building of our drilling rigs which are made according to the clients€™s budget and specifications. You can only benefit from this family'€™s 60+ years of drilling experience.
